The End-of Life Vehicles Regulations 2003 require that vehicles at the end of their life may only be treated at authorised Treatment Facilities (ATFs).

The ELV Directive introduces measures to promote and increase recycling and to further protect the environment by requiring adequate depollution (e.g. draining of fluids such as engine oil) and sets minimum technical requirements for the treatment of ELVs.

For those vehicles covered by the Regulations the AFT will issue a Certificate of Destruction (CoD).

A. Brunton has installed the market leading SEDA De-Pollution Station and is licensed as an authorised treatment facility enabling us to treat ELVs efficiently and comply with all current legislation.

We are authorised by the DVLA to issue CoDs and have been appointed as a contracted site to some of the leading car manufactures such as Ford, Jaguar and Land Rover.

Scrap cars ELVs can be delivered to our works or we can arrange collection as required.

ELV Recycling Compliance Certificate

The recycling certificate shown below should contain the name of the company which has achieved the recycling target along with their unique Cartakeback company identification number, the date that the certificate was issued and the period to which the certificate relates. (The most recent compliance period was 1st January 2008 to 31st December 2008).
